Bajos del Toro

Bajos del Toro

A few days ago I took a drive to Bajos del Toro, in the Alajuela province. There a stunning waterfall is located in an extinct volcanic crater. I was truly amazed by this place. It lies on private property, and to get to the 90 meter high majestic waterfall you have to go down 375 stairs. Let me tell you, it is totally worth it! Sure the climb back up is a bit tiring, but it is incredibly beautiful. The hike itself is through a Costa Rican tropical jungle consisting of primary forest. It is a great escape for travelers, and it could be your incredible wedding venue! Imagine getting married in front of this spectacular waterfall surrounded by nature and if you’re looking for truly Costa Rican experience you could invite your guests for fun reception at the local restaurant at the same property. Serve local dishes and do your wedding  photo shot with hummingbirds and waterfall on the background.
