Sylvia Chaves: Costa Rica Paradise Wedding was established 5 years ago by Sylvia Chaves, a native born, bilingual woman with 12 years of experience in the tourism area. Paradise Wedding was a result of the changes on the demand, which shows an important increase in Costa Rica as a wedding destination.

Andrea Yaruchyk: Born in Paraguay. Costa Rican Mother, Ukrainian Father. Grew up mainly in the U.S .Wedding Coordinator/Event Planner

 I moved to Costa Rica from Indiana, U.S.A about 2 ½ years ago, although Costa Rica has always been a part of my life, I would visit family when I was a child. I double majored in Communication & Culture and Telecommunications with a minor in Psychology at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. After college I worked in ‘coordinating’ type of jobs for a few years; for a non-profit company as well as medical research companies.

I love the creativity involved with planning a wedding. The fact that you are trusted with so much, for one incredibly special day in 2 individuals’ lives and the impact a detail can make. The fact that I have seen brides become emotional because ‘Everything is just perfect”. The lifelong relationships that become established within the process of planning the wedding my brides is truly the best reward.

Always wanting to get into something more creative, I found what sounded like my ‘dream job’ in event planning and have been with the company for about a year and a half.

My family and friends are my life and have been so fortunate to have amazing people and experiences mold and influence who I am. I love to travel whenever possible. I am trying to take advantage of the fact that I live in this amazing country and take every opportunity to visit beaches, volcanos, etc.  I’ve had the opportunity to go snorkeling, canopy, and most recently rafting with was amazing!

I like to distance run and started a fitness boxing classMy newest project I hope to tackle and develop is learning about photography; something I have always wanted to do.

Stephanie Hidalgo: Born and raised in Costa Rica, Wedding Coordinator/Event Planner.

I'm involved in tourism since I was a child because of my family business. I have a bachelor's degree in Tourism with an emphasis in Hospitality and Restaurants, and I am currently majored in Business Management Tourism. I love being part of this important market that generates the largest opportunities of business in Costa Rica.

I started working in Hospitality as I was finishing with my bachelor's degree, it was a great experience. For my final practice I took an International College Program where I worked six months on Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa in Florida.

In Costa Rica Paradise Wedding I got my first experience as a wedding coordinator; I have always loved everything involved with planning events and innovating things. This job gives me those opportunities without neglecting my knowledge in the area of tourism.

My personal goal is to continue growing as a professional to achieve a master degree someday; always working in tourism industry.

I enjoy spending time with my family; they are the most important thing in my life. I will always be grateful with my parents; I appreciate all the effort they have done for giving me the tools to build a good future for my life.

This job gives me the opportunity of learning from an experienced person who has built two successful companies, therefore my expectations are enriched my knowledge from college with life experiences.
